Not since the late Great Mutant Skywheel has such a detectably educated assembly of talented musicians provided an entertainment factor commensurate with the impressive pedigree... redolent of Stereolab, Lamb, and Mono, with comparably crisp hi-fi (truthfully, the entire production here is beyond reproach, remarkably by the band itself) ... when the twins switch off the synths and open those violin cases, they may as well conceal tommy guns.

Exit Clov come out of Washington D.C. and have ambitions for bigger and better things it seems, as they attempt to pick up fans both locally and internationally. Coming to my attention via Ike , they perform a mix of indie rock/pop with duelling sweet vocals from the twins, Emily and Susan. Sounding a bit like a band comprising of two Tanya Donelly's on lead, 'Beast Simone' is the best track on offer from their website, as it snakes from groovier styles on bass, keyboard and violin, to more straight-ahead rock segments reminiscent of Lush - all encapsulated by the sugar-coated harmonies which are ever present.
